Infamous in Hollywood fiction as the stuff of wilderness nightmares, the unfortunately type casted Grizzly bear are keystone species in the environments in which they still occupy, and play a major role in nutrient dispersement and to a lesser extent, prey species management. 

An icon of the Canadian wilderness, the Grizzly bear faces an uncertain future as urban landscapes expand and areas which these bears can survive, let alone flourish, shrink and fragment further.
